Artist Statement
I have spent several years exploring, testing and assessing my creativity, even though these initiatives have not been taken as far and wide as I would prefer or as the visual arts demand. Even so, I am grateful for some measure of satisfaction that I have enjoyed from time to time with my efforts. I have avoided hustling creative endeavours.
Artistic expression, interpretation and high technical quality are all issues that require deliberation and studied practice. The urge to complete or ‘be done with ‘a work is strong. In order to achieve a high level of competence in the visual arts, one must resist that urge.
For me, the learning and discovery process continues.
